Jingle
Our Jingle Has a Story
Back in 2020, when the world shut down and the music stopped, Less Than Jake (like every touring band) found themselves grounded. No shows. No venues. No road. For a band that had spent decades living on tour, it wasn't just about the music. It was about the crew: the sound engineers, the merch folks, the drivers, the roadies. All the people behind the scenes who don't get a paycheck when the bus stops rolling.
So Chris DeMakes did what any self-respecting punk does when faced with a crisis: he got creative. Chris started writing jingles on the side, not just for himself, but to help raise money for the touring workers who were left without income overnight. We heard about it and jumped at the chance. We gave Chris a quick rundown on Display Geek, what we do, why collectors trust us, and the kind of energy we wanted. Oh, and one very important creative direction: load it up with "woah oh's."
He delivered. Big time.
What you just heard isn't just a jingle. It's a piece of pandemic-era punk history, written by one of ska-punk's most recognizable voices, for a small business that loves collectors as much as Less Than Jake loves their fans.
